Guests say… “The local scenery is stunning and won’t disappoint..” “Fantastic location coupled with breathtaking views..” “The gardens and lake are stunning if you just want to relax..”
Located in the Vale of Ffestiniog, part of the UK’s nomination for Unesco World Heritage Status, Blaenddol estate (pron. ‘blain-thol’, meaning “on the meadow”) has grounds extending over 9 acres.
For those seeking relaxation, stroll around the developed gardens or try fishing along the beautiful Tiegl river. In the evening enjoy a BBQ on the patio (equipment provided) or soak in the hot tub (Old Bell House) and admire the spectacle of millions of stars (Snowdonia was recently awarded the rare international ‘Dark Sky’ status). Alternatively you can just relax in front of the fire with a book, call the place ‘home’, and not leave for your entire holiday!
History: The estate has a history associated with the local quarries spanning over two hundred years – find out more.
The Estate, Gallery:
Supervision of children and pets: Like many properties in Snowdonia, there are some potential hazards outside – specifically a small lake, streams, hot tub, slippery slate & steps when wet, old stone walls, steep banks and river-side woodland – so please ensure that children and pets are always supervised to ensure their health and safety.
The driveway: The slate gravel driveway through the estate is original and has a large camber – so it may be unsuitable for vehicles with very low ground clearance (if so, there is parking in a lay-by 100m from the estate entrance).
